The Orthopedic & Sports Health Research Division of MedStar Sports Medicine is a newly formed collaborative effort of MedStar Sports Medicine and the MedStar Health Research Institute. Our purpose is to enhance patient outcomes and improve sports safety by performing innovative research in orthopedics and sports medicine.
Collectively, we develop and submit research protocols in the areas of orthopedics and sports medicine. Our highly trained professional staff conducts clinical research in the areas of injury prevention and control, injury epidemiology, biomechanics, rehabilitation and kinesiology for the purpose of improving physical performance, reducing the risk of injury in sports/exercise, clinical drug trials and sports equipment evaluation.
