Jason Hickman, MS, LAT, ATC joined MedStar Sports Medicine in 2010. He is the Head Athletic Trainer at Meade High School in Anne Arundel County. Prior to this he was the Head Athletic Trainer with the Baltimore Blast. Jason also works as a physician extender with Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician Dr. Matthew Sedgley.
Jason earned a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Campbell University and a graduate degree in advanced clinical practice in athletic training from East Stroudsburg University.
Prior to joining MedStar Jason had the opportunity to work closely with the Puerto Rican boxing team at the 2010 Central American and Caribbean games in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. Jason has a special interest in research in sports medicine practices for athletic trainers and injuries to the low back and lower extremity.
Jason lives by the message in Psalm 18:2: "The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold."
